Wearingeul’s Thérèse Raquin begins as a restrained blue violet, then settles toward gray violet as it dries. Cool blue-gray tones appear between the darker layers, so the finished page can feel quite different from the first wet line.
Inspired by Émile Zola’s novel, the changing color reflects the story’s movement from suppressed desire toward an increasingly inescapable end. This is a non-shimmer fountain pen ink made in South Korea, available as a 30mL bottle or a 3mL sample.
