The Taccia Covenant fountain pen is a masterpiece. As always, Taccia brings something truly unique to the table:
A strikingly elegant design done in gorgeous resin, with lines reminiscent of a pocket pen, though it's actually a full-size pen.
A surprisingly comfortable, well-balanced writing experience (though it is a bit backweighted when posted, so I usually leave the cap off when writing).
And a top-of-the-line Sailor nib, whether it's steel or 14k gold, available in hard-to-find nib sizes/styles, like Medium-Fine, Zoom, and a 2-tine Music nib that is pretty amazing to experience.
This is one of the most underrated pens that I've come across - innovative and beautiful Taccia design mated with the famous quality of a Sailor nib, available in nib widths and styles that are sometimes tough to find even in the normal Sailor lineup (a steel Sailor Music or Zoom nib?! How commonly do you see that?).
The Covenant is large and has a lovely heft when closed, though it's comfortably mid-sized once you take the cap off.
Note: This pen comes with two cartridges of ink and a Sailor-branded converter. The Gold-nib version of this pen also comes with a lovely vegan leather pen case.
