Platinum #3776 Century Ver. 2 Fountain Pen - Demonstrator (Limited Edition)

This is the striking demonstrator version of the new-and-improved version (Version 2) Platinum's #3776 fountain pen. It ships with a Platinum cartridge and a Platinum converter. You'll also get one (surprise) bottle of Platinum ink with it, as a free gift courtesy of Bottle & Plume.

The #3776 Century has always been Platinum’s “write whenever you feel like it” workhorse—built around the Slip & Seal cap so your pen doesn’t punish you for taking breaks. The Ver. 2.0 Demonstrator keeps the same core idea, but tightens up the engineering and the aesthetics in ways you can actually see through the clear body.

What changed in Ver. 2.0 (vs the previous Century)

• Better long-term seal: The already-best-in-class Slip & Seal has been revised to extend the “won’t dry out” window from about 2 years to over 3 years (Platinum describes a 50%+ performance improvement).
• Cleaner cap finial: the previously visible nut at the top of the cap is gone, leaving a cleaner, clearer dome—especially satisfying on a demonstrator.
• Clearer ink visibility: the inside of the barrel is flattened to reduce reflections, making ink level checks easier and the demonstrator look “truer” in real light.
• More robust section + sealing: a rubber ring is added at the joint to reinforce airtightness and prevent loosening during writing; the section structure is also re-engineered for strength and easier maintenance.
• Updated nib engraving: the signature Mt. Fuji motif gets a more modern, refined look—same identity, cleaner execution.
• “Show the mechanism” details: on the demonstrator, the inner cap is printed so you can literally watch the sealing moment happen when you cap the pen.

You’re still getting the classic #3776 experience: a 14K gold nib, screw cap, and Platinum’s practical, precision-first approach to a daily writer—now with the most polished execution of the platform to date. (This demonstrator release is also limited to 2,000 pieces worldwide.)
