Pilot's CON-40 fountain pen ink converters allows you to use any bottled fountain pen ink you like with any cartridge/converter Pilot fountain pen. That means pens like Kakuno, Elite 95S, Vanishing Point/Decimo Capless, Pilot 743, Metropolitan, and many others.
The CON-40 holds less ink than the CON-70 converter, but it's enough for about 10 pages of A5 writing in a wet-writing medium-nib Pilot pen. And unlike its larger brother, the CON-70, it's short enough to fit into just about every Pilot cartridge/converter pen ever made.
Why we love it:
Some people hate the CON-40 because of its small ink capacity, but I personally love it. I'm obsessed with fountain pen inks and the sheer variety of colors and special properties that we have access to as fountain pen users, so I welcome its smaller capacity (and lower price) as an opportunity to get even more inks into my rotation.
