It's a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one!

The Lochby Field Sling is exactly what you need if you're going for a quick walk with your writing stuff: notebook, pen case, sunglasses, and a few other little things. It's surprising what this little satchel - excuse me, Field Sling - can fit.

Lightweight comfort, quick one-hand access via signature hook, adjustable strap, and right-sized capacity for EDC. There's a lot to love in this little sling bag.

The Field Sling has quickly become my daily bag. It’s the perfect size for carrying everything I want with me without feeling like I’m hauling around a full backpack.

I usually have my wallet, keys, A5 notebook, Kindle, fountain pens, pen cloth, comb, and a smaller notebook in it, and everything has its place. What I really like is that I can leave the house for the entire day and know I have everything I need with me. If I find somewhere to sit for a while, I can pull out my Kindle and read, grab my notebook and write, or spend some time drawing.

It’s become less of a bag I have to pack and more of something I just grab on my way out the door. It carries the things I actually use and enjoy throughout the day without being bulky. For someone who likes to always have a book, notebook, and a few pens nearby, it’s been a great everyday bag.

It's almost perfect. Almost. The thingamajig used to attach the strap to the bag is a headache. They need to rethink that. Seriously. I could also quibble about the size — big enough for a phone, wallet and keys, too small for a tablet — but it's convenient and has the singular advantage of NOT looking like a "Man Purse" (or Murse). It looks like a small satchel. (I feel like I could go off with my musket and kill something in the woods to feed my family back in the settlement...) So far, I like it!
