For letters written at a quiet desk and sketches made somewhere worth remembering, the Kaweco DIA2 in Black/Gold brings a little of the 1920s to an everyday writing kit. Deep black acrylic, gold-plated accents and a gold-plated steel nib, and a curved clip give it a traditional silhouette, with fine knurled details at the cap and barrel ends.
The cap, barrel, and grip are polished and assembled by hand. This is a full-size Kaweco with a steel nib, available from Extra Fine to Double Broad. It uses standard international cartridges, or bottled ink with a Kaweco Standard Converter sold separately. Cartridge/converter filling makes changing inks straightforward, though it holds less than a larger piston-filled pen.
