Améthyste de l’Oural (Ural Mountains Amethyst) is the purple, silver-shimmering member of Jacques Herbin’s 1798 Anniversary range. It gives a journal heading, invitation, or letter a small glint of ceremony without turning handwriting into a special-effects project.

Made in France, this water-based, vegan fountain pen ink carries fine silver shimmer through its line. Gently roll the 15mL bottle before filling to distribute the shimmer, and keep up a normal pen-cleaning routine when changing inks. A 3mL sample is a good way to see it from your own nib on your own paper.
