2025 Ink Sample Advent Calendar

This limited-run advent calendar packs 25 fountain-pen ink samples (3 mL each)—24 thoughtfully curated shades everyone receives, plus a 25th “wildcard” pulled from rotating gems (including a few from my personal stash). It’s the most fun, low-risk way to try inks you’ve eyeballed but never quite dared to bottle.

Brands and Inks

A broad tour of ink brands is represented, so you can get a taste of brands you haven't used or inks you'd never risk buying a full bottle of: Namiki, J. Herbin, Diamine, Sailor, Laban, Rohrer & Klingner, Octopus Fluids, Anderillium, Platinum, Taccia, Pelikan, Robert Oster, Kaweco, and more.

The inks themselves are as varied as I could make them; balanced across work-friendly classics, shimmering party tricks, and moody statement colors. Most inks are dye-based, but there are permanent inks, too (both pigment and iron-gall). And of course, there's a tiny bit of shimmer (but not too much).
