Shimmer Ink

These are "shimmer" (or sometimes "glistening") fountain pen inks. They contain mica or other mineral particles, essentially glitter, that add a bit more sparkle and fun to your writing.

A couple of tips for using shimmer inks in fountain pens:

  1. Gently hake the ink bottle before filling a pen, to make sure the glitter particles are evenly suspended.
  2. When picking up your pen to write after a break, give it a quick shake to re-suspend the shimmer particles.
  3. Cleaning a pen after using shimmer ink might take a bit longer, but just rinse thoroughly with water. Very occasionally, some shimmer particles may get wedged in your feed, but more rinsing and shaking usually takes care of it.
