Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-Budo Review
Share
Yama-budo is one of the most popular fountain pen inks for a reason. It's a wild magenta that can look wine-red, purple, and even pink depending on the light. It has lovely shading, and even a coppery-golden multishading effect on the right paper.
Like the vast majority of Pilot's Iroshizuku inks, it's a wet fountain pen ink - well lubricated and yet extremely well behaved.
It cleans easily out of my pens despite its bright color, and has never stained any of my transparent demonstrator pens, as some red and purple inks are apt to do.
Dry time is medium. You'll want to use fountain-pen friendly paper with this ink, because it'll bleed through cheap paper, even in finer nib widths.
