Those flowing, cloud-like shapes come from Tippel’s Grundfarben, created for Pelikan’s first international poster competition in 1899. Here, they wrap around the barrel in warm gold and brown, framed by translucent brown resin.

This is the third Pelikan Art Collection edition: a lovely way to enjoy the brand’s illustration history while still having a fountain pen to fill, carry, and write with.
